If you love prowling the aisles at Home Depot, enjoy fixing things, or just want to help recycle building materials while supporting adequate housing, the ReStore needs you. Sales, display, cleanup of donations, merchandising and all other "jobs" are completely volunteer efforts. With no paid staff, the ReStore can use your help. Be part of MAHFH's premier recycler of new and used building materials, tools and appliances. Call (785) 317-9334, or just dress down and drop by the store, to get involved. The ReStore is always looking for volunteers to work in the store. Also needed are volunteers with extensive knowledge in plumbing, electrical, heating/venting, etc. that would be willing to teach staff and perhaps conduct monthly workshops. While the Habitat ReStore sells many of the products other retail construction and home improvement stores sell, it varies in other aspects like its product selection, variability, etc.

GENERAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We have an ongoing need for volunteers for regular 2-to-4 hour shifts
(anytime between 9 a.m. — 2 p.m), on the first Saturday of every month, in the following areas:

Sales and Cashier
* Greet customers
* Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
* Respond to customer questions
* Assist customers in locating and loading materials
* Coordinate with Warehouse to keep shelves stocked
* Operate cash register

Office Assistance
* Data entry
* Grant writing
* Correspondence
* Marketing

Pickup
* Collect donations
* Quality control responsibility
* Load, secure, transport, and unload donations
* Maintain loading area
* Maintain vehicles (preventive)

Warehouse
* Prepare, stock, and display donated materials
* Pricing
* Keep ReStore clean
* Loading purchases
* Work with Sales and with Pickup as  needed
